Yep that is normal for those old molds. You see where the alignment knobs are . The divot on the opposite side can deepened Just a touch with a drill slightly smaller than the divot . Because all you want to do is let the knob seat a little further down . Then take a straight edge and run it cross wise on the matting surfaces . Mark the high spots . Get a diamond whet stone like you would use to sharpen a knife and slowly remove the high areas . A word of caution . Test the mold through each step . But it will never be like a Do-It . Just try to get the flash manageable. Then stop.

It's really something you have to experiment with since everyone has their own idea of how much scent is the right amount and similar scents from different sources will have different potency.

I just used some cheap “Lets Resin” brand uv resin off Amazon for th first time to topcoat a batch of baits and here are my observations. You don’t necessarily need a lure turner. The resin is fairly thick and I brushed it on with no bubbles using a cheap fine bristle nylon artist brush, which I cleaned afterwards with lacquer thinner. The resin did take some time to harden completely in a fingernail uv curing light box (also from Amazon); about 30-40 minutes, which is much longer than some other resins that can harden in 2-3 minutes. The resin was crystal clear, slick and very hard once cured. I was happy with the result. And yeah, it’s at least as tough and waterproof as epoxy.

You won't have an issue adding MF scents into your plastic, same with Pro Cure or smelly jelly. Generally when I pour, I get my plastic up to 350, then add colorant. Once it's cooled to 325 - 330 or so I add the flake and scent and shoot.
