Good points from you both.. The nature thing & laying on the bottom.. now.. some baits track straight in the water,, do you feel some worms & other baits spin on the retrieve & a side x side ---- or a top bottom my look the same when retrieved if they roll or spin ? just a thought..

Jim, I think you are rite,,its just how its been done.. anything that looks different could be good. I take it you are pouring a 1 pc.mold no cold cracks because you are pouring both colors @ the same time & not one, then the other on top of it. a picture of a reg lam & a side by side.. with the same bait, same colors, laying beside each other would help the discussion ,maybe ?

You should be fine with that ventilation and using 1 gallon a year.. ( we hope? guys have not been doing this for a lot of years so we mite not know yet ) I do not consider my self a large pouring operation at all.. part timer.. I do not have a clue how much the bigger hand pourers pour ?? like Jim @ ghost baits must go through a lot of plastic.. I have poured almost 75 gallons in 4 years.

I have never had the sore throat before . I have been pouring for apx. 4 years..Burning eyes,,, head aches,,yes, but not the throat,, but last month I poured much more than usual and I think that was it..I use a fan in the window and in the ceiling..and have a 3M mask that I only use 90% of the time..I still feel I need better vent & to wear the mask 100%..its also been in the 90s and I pour in the upstairs of my garage..both windows open.. 1 fan in 1 window and 1 fan in the ceiling.apx. 95-100 degrees up there.. I work all day in air conditioning ( meat cutter ) and the house has air.. The combo of the pouring and the air...maybe..??

richard, do you think the plastic has more hardner in it.,. making it sink ?? Jeff ps. do you still have the big frog molds for sale ??

I have not poured this mold, but here is a couple ideas. 1- make sure the mold is warm.. pour a couple baits , if they do not fill the claws ,, cut um up and remelt um they will warm the mold.. 2- make sure the plastic is hot..and thin,,

your pouring just a little to fast.. use a smaller stream of plastic and you should be good.

Just use a few drops of the Anise oil

They are not scent proof.
