  4. I electro static mine so a White base coat first because the super white glow does not cover good by itself. I have no experience dipping the SWG
  5. well, what do you want instead of a Do-IT?
  6. I would get a hold of you hook supplier and he or she should be able to get you some.
  7. I set mine higher thinking it will quit dripping. which i knew it wouldn't help . i cleaned it out the other day and it has slowed it down.
  8. 8-9 , but I have never checked the temp. mine is 25 years old.

  11. you can send you pic to david at hooksolutions dot com
  12. That is per foot. minimum order is 10. so 10 feet $18.80
  13. the suspense is killing me.
  14. Yes 1/8 = .125 5/32 = .156 I also have .062 .078 .093 I think I got these from McMasterCarr and it is under "cord" not rod. You can email me if you want some. david at hooksolutions dot com
  15. If you don't need a lot I have: .156 .140 .125 nominal sizes you can get at McMaster-Carr online I had to special order the .156 and the .140 If your close to Warsaw, you could come by and pick a few up. I use teflon spray to use on metal rods that makes them easier to pull out of lead castings. you could find some drill bits that would be the right size.
  16. I have poured a lot of bank sinkers with soft lead, so i am guessing that it is not the lead.
  17. whats the other 5% ? I use 94 lead 5% antimony. It could be the lead; more info would help. a pic of the mold showing the problem. I'm not sure what a tube insert is, but I am assuming it has a hook in it. do you have other molds that pour with the same lead? what percent of rejects are you getting? with my experience it could be any one of these things or a combination of, lead temp, rpms, spin direction, gate location, the speed the way you pour the lead in, etc....
  18. It looks to me like that is a flat bottom and I would recommend a flat file.
  19. I have had this happen on a new Lee pot I bought a couple years ago. I have used this same lead in my RCBS and another Lee pot and did not have the crusty stuff except on the new lee pot. the lead I was using was hard lead, 6% antimony. I have had the lead turn gold before on top of the lead. I had some turn purple. The jigs I cast turned purple. I still have the jigs. don't know what to do with them.
  20. If it is letters/lino type, it shouldn't have zinc in it. if it has zinc in it your mix would be very thick on top like slug. Your lino type is approximately 10% to 12% antimony, that is what makes it hard. In my opinion you need to mix 10 parts of soft lead to 1 part of lino type to get your antimony down to 1 to 2% antimony. I use a 6% antimony and I want it to snap but in hand pouring and you want to cut the sprus you really need to be at 1% or less.
  21. wouldn't that be "2.42811 hectares under roof"
  22. I have had 2 RCBS pots and they both dripped a lot. I have it apart right now to clean it to stop it from dripping or at least slow it down. the pot is suppose to be SS but it stills rusts along with the plunger. that seems to be the culprit, all of that rust on the plunger and the socket. what would happen if the plunger and the socket was made out of aluminum?
  23. I think you can find a lot of free help on BobCad start at this link search youtube vids on this guy Al Depoalo
