  1. They're printed using a VERY expensive printer and very specific ink. I don't know the specifics but numbers I have heard from someone close to another company doing this was $35k - $45k per printer.
  2. It's a laminate, the tail colour is same as body. I would want that one in my hand to even try to take a crack at it. Pictures aren't accurate at all with colours.
  3. Hematoma is black with purple flake/blue pearl swirl
  4. That has nothing to do with denting. Plastic expands when its heated, contracts when it cools, as the cavity cools it needs to draw in more plastic from the runner to prevent dents (why you see it suck down after injecting it). When the gate or runner freezes off (solidifies) before the cavity solidifies it has no way to pull in plastic and sucks in on itself. In other words it is a flaw in the mold design itself, it's always been an issue with that mold, from the day they released it. Whatever you are doing other than how you fill the injector (it's always baffled me why its been promoted to fill that way, seems like an accident waiting to happen) is helping mitigate the dents.
  5. In all honesty, small or large Shooting Star is more than likely what you are looking for. You're going to spend $2000.00 - $3000.00 to get one. Other than that to get into higher volume you're into $30k - $75k machines with large production molds ($8k+ each)
  6. Post a video, I want to see this.
  7. Chuck & Paulette retired. That was Lakeside Bait Molds out of Texas. This is someone completely different.
  8. I've been preaching this for years, glad to see I'm not the only one that found this lol.
  9. Says it right on the back of the package lol, albeit in small text lol.
  10. It's supposed to be shrimp/anise but with all of their baits being made in China who the hell actually knows what is in it.
  11. Just a clarification, Clear Bags is a USA based company but all of their bags are manufactured in China.
  12. The entire Rage Tail line is covered under a VERY good utility patent. Design makes no difference with it, it's the ridge on the edge of the appendage that is patented.
  13. It isn't plastisol, but a TPE, my understanding is our liquid pigments/dyes for plastisol are not compatible with it. That said, I haven't used it, just done a lot of research into the material over the years
  14. Contact Jeff @ Top Shelf Tackle, He has just finalized everything and is the new distributor of Calhoun's plastic.
  15. Every supply company selling glitter to the bait hobbyists is selling the same glitter from the same 2 manufacturers I've found. Like I've told you in the past if you want to continue to buy that same high temp poly glitter you bought from Baitjunkys just head to LureWorks
  16. Never heard of it. Posting a picture of the bait can help a lot.
  17. Food for thought, I have a barely used BT twin thats bent to hell. Also have an old Bear's (Do It's are identical) that had been modded with a locking pin that broke. Back to work.......
  18. I am well aware of how they're built. My point being the thin wall of the Do It injector won't hold the tip that well, especially if any kind of pressure gets applied to it while injecting or evacuating the injector.
  19. Problem with the Do It injectors is they use a real thin wall aluminum tube, they won't hold the tip/pin very well. BT's injectors use a very thick wall aluminum so they hold everything properly.
  20. Calhoun will only sell it direct by the drum. You will have to go through a reseller to get smaller quantities.
  21. All of those rigged worms are rigged after they were poured. They thread the line and hooks.
  22. Realistically the molds need to be machined out for the traditional 5/8 injector port instead of the tapered port they make now.
  23. Before Ultramold sold direct they sold through Bear's Baits and released the bench top injection machine you see here (first with pressure pots, later later with the mixers you see here when they had problems with salt) It will only work with their molds (hinged with the injector port at one end) from what I remember. if you get him to send the rest good luck with it
  24. They appear to be a pair of Diaphragm pumps and a pair of heat exchangers (just a small piece of the puzzle on an injection machine) Would need to see more detailed pictures of everything to get a better idea.
